Who we are

Power King is an app that reads power stations and batteries over Bluetooth, and this website, where you can download it and get Power King Pro.

What stays on your phone

Your readings, history, test results, reports, unit names and settings stay on your phone. None of it is ever sent to Power King.

Bluetooth and location

Bluetooth is used only to find and read your units. Android 11 and older ask for the location permission for any Bluetooth scan; Power King doesn't use your location.

Connecting some units

Some units need a one-time Bluetooth handshake using your existing main provider login. Your login goes only to that provider, over an encrypted connection, and Power King never keeps your password.

Power King Pro

Pro is a yearly subscription sold through Link, Stripe's payment service. Link handles your payment, tax, receipts, refunds and cancelling under its own privacy policy (https://link.com/privacy). Power King sees your order (email address, country, amount and date) and uses it only to help you with your subscription.

Your phone and Pro

Pro works on one phone at a time. To check that, the app now and then sends our website your Pro key and a code for your phone that holds nothing personal. For each subscription or gift, the website keeps only that code and a few dates: no name, email address, phone number or readings. Codes unused for 400 days are deleted; we keep only a note of which phones have had a free week.

Gifts

Gifts are bought through Link, like Pro, and a gift link holds no personal information. Once used, a gift is handled like a subscription.

Tips

Tips are paid through Stripe (https://stripe.com/privacy), and Power King is the seller: we see the amount, the date and the email address for your receipt, and use them only for your tip.

Contacting us

What you send through the contact form (your message, your email address and, if you add it, your Pro key) is used only to answer you.

Checking for updates

Once a day, the app checks our website for a newer version. The check carries nothing about you or your units, and you can turn it off on the About page.

What you choose to share

When you share a report or exported files, or copy the data, the app hands it to the app you pick; what happens next is up to that app.

No analytics, no selling

Power King has no analytics, crash reporting or tracking of its own, and never sells data.

Children

Power King is not directed to children under 13.

Deleting your data

Everything the app keeps is on your phone: uninstalling it, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, deletes all of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
